The practice of Tsok or feast offering is a very powerful method for accumulating merit and wisdom and involves mentally offering food to all beings as vast as the sky–including ourselves. It will be integrated into our regular practice of the protectress Green Tara, which starts at 11am. After a brief break, we will bless the offerings and celebrate them as possessing “thatness” (i.e. the true nature of reality), thus transforming our ordinary perceptions of the world into deep insight. Lama Nancy will explain what we are doing as we go through the practice. NB: You can bring food donations for the Tsok feast, the food drive, or both. For the Tsok feast: vegetarian finger foods such as nuts, cookies, candy, chips, crackers, fruit, cheese, etc. For the food drive: the usual nonperishable packaged foods. Free.
