The Ann Arbor KTC is an all-volunteer organization that receives the majority of its operating expenses in the form of donations and membership dues. It is a 501 (c) (3) organization, so all contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated!

Membership
Becoming a Member of the Ann Arbor KTC is a great way to become more involved with our sangha (community of practitioners). You will be invited to Member Meetings, which currently take place on Zoom, but in healthier days are held in conjunction with pot-luck meals. We also occasionally work together doing indoor and outdoor projects to improve and maintain our center. This “karma yoga” is considered to be an important offering to our teachers and the general community.
We offer various levels of membership according to what you can afford. All of our membership categories include discounts at our programs and when purchasing books or supplies from us. Also, you will receive email updates about topics and programs of special interest, in addition to the occasional newsletters sent to our entire email list.
Full Membership at the Ann Arbor KTC is $40/month for an individual or $55/month for a family. (A family is considered to be two adults and their minor children.) This includes membership at Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD), our parent monastery, which gives you a 10% discount at their Namse Bangdzo Bookstore, as well as reduced rates on KTD’s programs and accommodations.
Associate Membership at the Ann Arbor KTC is for those who can’t afford a full membership, such as students, retirees, the unemployed/underemployed, and the disabled. We suggest a fee of $20/month for an individual or $27.50/month for a family. If this is still not affordable, please pay whatever you can reasonably afford.
