Lama Tsultrim Gyaltsen Talk in Marquette, MI

In this talk at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marquette, Michigan, Lama Tsultrim will provide an overview of how the teachings of the Buddha spread from India to SE Asia, China, and finally to Tibet. Among the several lineages of enlightened masters that flourished in Tibet over the centuries is the Karma Kagyu. This reincarnate line of the Karmapas, and the lineage that they preside over, goes back in an unbroken chain more than 900 years. The present 17th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje, like his predecessors, skillfully applies the timeless teachings of the Buddha to the current situations in the world. He truly embodies the wisdom and compassion of a Buddha.
