EVENT POSTPONED Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin Visit
April 9, 2020 - April 13, 2020
We are sorry to announce that Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin will be postponing his visit to the Ann Arbor KTC.
We will update the calendar when we have a new date.
A native of Bhutan, Khenpo Ugyen was born in 1955 and became a monk at the age of 19. He received the Acharya (Master’s) degree in Buddhist Studies in Rumtek, Sikkim, at the age of 25, and soon after was appointed a khenpo (professor). He then taught Buddhist philosophy at monasteries in Bhutan and India, and at Dharma centers throughout Asia.
In 2005, His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa sent Khenpo Ugyen to the United States to teach at KTD Monastery and its subsidiary KTC centers. Khenpo Ugyen has also done intensive meditation retreats both in Bhutan and the U.S. In addition to his formidable scholarship, he is known for his kind and gentle manner–and his love of deathly hot food! You can find his full bio here.
You will find the individual events listed by date.
Questions about the visit, and requests for individual interviews with Khenpo Ugyen, should be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
