Refuge Ceremony — Entering the Buddhist Path 1 PM

Lama Nancy Burks will be offering the vow of Refuge in the Buddhist Path.

A number of people have recently expressed interest in taking Refuge and officially entering the Buddhist path.

The Refuge ceremony takes about an hour, and involves committing oneself to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha with the purpose of liberating all beings from suffering. The basic commitments are to respect these Three Jewels, and by extension to uphold all positive intentions and beneficial acts done by anyone. Lama Nancy received this transmission from her lama, Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, and have been authorized by him to confer it on others.

There is no charge for the ceremony, and you are welcome to bring family or friends as witnesses.
