DESCRIPTION:Taking the Bodhisattva Vow is the formal entry into the Bodhisattva path. Through it\, one formally commits to leading all sentient beings to enlightenment. In this process\, the one who is able to follow such a commitment will naturally become enlightened too! Don’t miss this rare opportunity to receive the Bodhisattva Vow in the midwest. \nThe weekend will include explanation of the vow and its benefits and commitments; instruction on how to train our minds in love and compassion; and transmission of the vow itself. Participants are asked to bring simple offerings such as flowers\, incense\, food\, or candles. \nIMPORTANT NOTES: \n\nRefuge is a prerequisite for attending this seminar. DESCRIPTION:We are very pleased to announce that Lama Karma has agreed to come teach in February!  (This replaces the cancelled visit by Khenpo Ugyen\, who will be teaching here later this year.)  Lama Karma will teach on compassion and will give the Bodhisattva vow. \nLama Karma Drodhul is one of the Drubpons (Retreat Masters) at the Karme Ling Retreat Center in Delhi\, NY.  He completed two traditional three-year retreats there under the direction of the Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. and is now his principal attendant and assistant. \nHe travels to centers throughout North America to teach\, and is the author of Amrita of Eloquence: A Biography of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche. \nIn September\, 2018\, His Holiness Ogyen Trinley Dorje appointed Lama Karma as President of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra.
