DESCRIPTION:Khenpo Sangye Trinley will be teaching at Ann Arbor KTC on Halloween weekend\, presenting a public talk about Buddhism and teachings on Buddha Nature and a Dakpo Kagyu lineage prayer. \nKhenpo Sangye Trinley has been serving as a resident teacher\, vajra master\, and translator at our home monastery Karma Triyana Dharmachakra since 2018. Originally from Nepal\, he received his novice monk vows at the age of 11 in 1980 and became a fully ordained Bhikshu in 1992. During that time\, he completed many years of Buddhist studies under great masters including H.H. the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa\, H.E. the 12th Chamgon Tai Situ Rinpoche\, and the previous Kyabje Dilyak Dazang Rinpoche. Since 1990\, he has extensively traveled throughout Southeast Asia\, North America\, and Europe at the invitations of Buddhist centers and organizations. \nIn 2001\, Khenpo Sangye completed the traditional three-year retreat at Palpung Sherabling retreat center under the guidance of Kyabje Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. After that time\, he served the lineage in a variety of different positions in Asia and the United States before being sent to KTD in 2018 by His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa.
