Join us for a half-hour of silent sitting meditation every Wednesday, followed by a discussion of Buddhist ideas. No previous meditation experience is needed; instructions will be provided. There is no cost; donations are welcome.

Our minds are constantly busy, swirling from thought to thought in a process referred to as "monkey mind" by Buddhist teachers. Meditation helps us make friends with and tame our "monkey," increasing our mindfulness, stability and awareness and relieving the pressures of our goal-oriented lives. Led by This session will include instruction, practice, and discussion, and give you the tools you need to develop a regular sitting meditation practice of your own.

Join us for a day of meditation in a classic Buddhist setting. Led by Lama Nancy Burks, the day will include sitting and walking meditation as well as compassion (tonglen) meditation. No previous meditation experience needed--instructions will be given. There will be a lunch break from 12:30-2 pm; you can bring your own vegetarian lunch and eat here if you would like.
