DESCRIPTION:Lama Karma Drodhul\, who is a resident Lama at our parent monastery KTD\, will be visiting from April 8th to 16th. \nLama Karma received gelong (full) ordination from Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche in Tibet. He completed two traditional three-year\, three-month retreats at Karme Ling Retreat Center in New York under the direction of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche\, who is the abbot at KTD. He now is the Drubpon (retreat master) at Karme Ling. He travels to different centers to teach and is the author of Amrita of Eloquence: A Biography of Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche

DESCRIPTION:In this free public talk held at the Crazy Wisdom Bookstore in Ann Arbor\, Lama Karma will give an introduction to the topic of the Buddhist vow of refuge. \nTaking refuge means having compassion for all beings\, taking the vow to become enlightened for the benefit of all beings and having compassion for yourself by seeking peace and sanity in both your present and future lives. \nLama Karma will teach more on the topic in a weekend seminar:\nSaturday and Sunday\, April 15 and 16 at 10:30-12:00 & 2:30-4:00. \nPlease note: The start time has changed.
