Weekend Seminar and The Bodhisattva Vow
February 23 - February 24
Taking the Bodhisattva Vow is the formal entry into the Bodhisattva path. Through it, one formally commits to leading all sentient beings to enlightenment. In this process, the one who is able to follow such a commitment will naturally become enlightened too! Don’t miss this rare opportunity to receive the Bodhisattva Vow in the midwest.
The weekend will include explanation of the vow and its benefits and commitments; instruction on how to train our minds in love and compassion; and transmission of the vow itself. Participants are asked to bring simple offerings such as flowers, incense, food, or candles.
- Refuge is a prerequisite for attending this seminar. For those who have not yet taken the Refuge Vow, it will be given at 10 am on Saturday.
- Those wishing to take the Bodhisattva Vow must attend the entire seminar.
- If you are not sure whether you will be taking the vow, you may still attend the seminar, and then take the vow or not when the time comes.
