Sunday Service: Foundations of Buddhism 11:15 am
June 21 @ 11:15 am - 12:30 pm
An event every month that begins at 11:15 am on day Third of the month, repeating until January 17, 2021
Starting March 15, 2020 and continuing throughout the Year of the Rat, the Ann Arbor KTC will host a Foundational Buddhism course. This series of talks, one each third Sunday of the month (as part of our regular Sunday Service), will progressively introduce the foundations of Buddhism as presented in the traditional Sutras.
Concepts from both the Theravada and Mahayana schools will be introduced in ways that encourage us to develop a compassionate and mindful way of living. Whether you are new to Buddhism and curious about its teachings, or an advanced student seeking to strengthen your grounding in the fundamentals, this course will have something for you.
Foundations of Buddhism is offered free by the Ann Arbor KTC and no formal registration needed. While later talks build upon ideas introduced earlier, you are welcome to drop in on whatever dates you are able. Talks begin at 11:15 am and include time for meditation.
